The Newt Shooter Instructions
The Newt Shooter is designed to
mount in the rear section of the boat.
Most V-drive boats have several compartments under the hatch, usually the motor is in the center with walls separating the 2 hatch compartments. The walls are usually made of wood
covered with carpet or made of plastic.
Make sure when mounting you allow room for a gallon jug of Newt Juice to reach the opening to fill it up when needed.
Be sure to watch for hatch springs and hydraulic lift
rams.
Try to get it up high so you don't lose any lower storage. (Fat Sacs. Life Jackets, etc.) Leave jug in basket to mark where you will screw it in.
Mark the spots for the screws, then take jug out of
basket and screw basket to wall.
DO NOT mount container to outer boat wall, (It's Fiberglass) YOU WILL SINK!
If inner wall has aged you may want to get stainless bolts with washer and lock nut and through bolt
it.
At this point you want to figure out what the best way to get the sprayer hide to the back of the boat. You can leave it in the back hatch and open the hatch each time, pass it through the vent or put it under the
corner of the hatch lid,
DO NOT smash hose. You can hang hose on back rail to keep it under the hatch.
You must keep sprayer at the height that is equal to or higher than jug, or fluid will drain back through
sprayer.
After determining the route for your sprayer, run the sprayer hose from the end with plug back to the jug. This way if you are mounting through a vent, you will not have to remove and reassemble the
sprayer.
Once you have the hose run back to the jug, remove the end plug off the filled 5/16 sprayer hose and connect it to the jug.
Put hose clamp on it and squeeze with pliers.
Now you can fill up the
Newt Shooter with the 2-32oz Newt Juice bottles. The Newt Juice Shooter jug will hold a maximum of 72oz. DO NOT OVERFILL!
Do not let the shooter run dry either, or it will take you hundreds of squeezes to get the fluid
back to your spray nozzle.
Enjoy and always wear a Life Jacket!
